Local Charity: Richard House Children's Hospice
Hey everyone! We're Sara and Shivani from Barts! We are so excited to be taking part in something so incredible. It's amazing to see all the pediatric societies coming together for a good cause. Ours in particular is Richard House Children's Hospice, East London's first children's hospice!
Richard House provides palliative care to children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions across London.
During the current crisis, Richard House remained open providing vital support to the NHS. They are taking children with long term conditions from hospitals, both to provide more beds for the NHS effort, and also to provide a safer environment for these children.
More than ever it is vital that Richard House is able to provide care for these families and
children, many of who are the most valuable and at risk in the present crisis. However; the charity is facing an unprecedented financial crisis in light of the current COVID-19 outbreak, and need our help so they can continue to provide care and support to these young patients and their families.
